Fire destroys 20 houses in Davao City

A fire of undetermined origin destroyed some 20 houses in a residential area in Davao City late Friday.

The fire occurred at Purok 2 in Isla Verde along Mini Forest Boulevard, according to a report on "24 Oras" Saturday.

While no one was initially reported injured, a woman fainted due to the tension, the report said, citing information from GMA Davao.

An investigation showed the fire spread quickly since the houses in the area were made of light materials.
