Meanwhile, a "News TV Live" report said 38 people were hurt when a bus flipped on its side in Carmen town in Cebu.
The report said Ceres bus driver Ronald Lato was among the injured.
According to the driver, one of the tires on the bus burst, making him lose control of the vehicle. He said the road was also slippery when the accident happened.
The injured were brought to a nearby hospital where an 11-year-old passenger remains in critical condition, the report said.
The driver will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in multiple injuries, local police said. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
