Going to Baguio? Avoid Kennon Road due to falling rocks, says PNP
Motorists were advised by the Philippine National Police in Cordillera Tuesday to avoid passing through Kennon Road in Northern Luzon due to falling rocks.
In a post on its Twitter account, the PNP Cordillera suggested that motorists instead use Marcos Highway to "avoid any untoward incident."
"To all motorist(s), avoid Kennon Road due to falling rocks. All are advise(d) to take Marcos Highway Road to avoid any untoward incident," it said.
Kennon Road is one of the main roads leading to popular travel destination Baguio City.
Earlier Tuesday, state weather agency PAGASA had warned of possible flash floods and landslides over Ilocos and Central Luzon.
PAGASA said this may be due to the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon Jose (Halong). —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
