Bush fires destroy 50 hectares in Baler, Aurora – NDRRMC

Bush fires destroyed some 50 hectares of land in Aurora province Wednesday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Friday.

 

In its report, the NDRRMC said the Department of Environment and Natural Resources detected the bush fire in Barangay Digisit in Baler, Aurora at 6 p.m. on Aug. 13

 

The NDRRMC said another bush fire was detected in Sitio Munting Gasang in Barangay Zabali, Baler, Aurora - about 2.5 km away from a residential area.

 

Zabali is also near where the PAGASA weather station, Aurora State College of Technology and tourist spots are located. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
