1 dead, 16 hurt as van falls off Benguet ravine – report

A passenger was killed while 16 others were injured after a van fell into a ravine in Barangay Banangan, Sablan town in Benguet province, a radio report said Monday.

According to the Bombo Radyo report, SPO4 Domingo Carame of the Benguet Provincial Police Office said the van was heading for Baguio City when it fell 40 meters into the ravine.

The fatality was declared dead on arrival at a hospital. The injured were brought to the Benguet General Hospital and Baguio General Hospital. — Joel Locsin/DVM, GMA News
