M5.1 quake hits Tawi-tawi, aftershocks expected


A magnitude-5.1 quake was recorded off Tawi-Tawi province Tuesday morning, with state seismologists warning of possible aftershocks.
 
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was tectonic in origin and was recorded at 8:26 a.m.
 
It said the epicenter was 51 km southeast of South Ubian in Tawi-Tawi.
 
The quake was felt at:
 
Intensity III: Bongao, Tawi-tawi
Intensity I: Zamboanga City
