100 families evacuated due to floods in Bulacan town
At least 100 families in Calumpit town in Bulacan province were evacuated Saturday due to floods that hit the area, a television report said Saturday.
The 100 families came from 20 barangays in Calumpit, according to a report on GMA News TV's "News TV Live."
Presently, the families are staying at the Calumpit Sports Complex until the floods subside.
In some affected areas, flood water rose up to four feet, the report added.
Meanwhile, large vehicles can still cross the MacArthur Highway that spans Bocaue, Marilao and Meycauayan. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
