3 wounded in Davao shooting spree, cop arrested

Police Officer 3 Stevenson Roma was arrested in Davao City on Sunday for allegedly going on a shooting spree and injuring brothers Elvis and Marco delos Reyes and their uncle Reymark, GMA Davao reported Monday.

The three victims said they were having drinks outside their house at Barangay 74-A when Roma allegedly came out of nowhere and opened fire.

Elvis said he was buying some ice when he saw people running and heard shots. "Pagtingin ko, may sugat na ako sa binti," he said.

Elvis then warned Marco that an unidentified man was running amok outside their house. "Paglabas namin... Nagulat na lang kami na pinaputukan na kami," Marco said.

A police team responded to the shooting and Roma surrendered to them.

Roma claimed a young man with a knife tried to stab him and wounded him in the finger. He also claimed two other men threw stones at him, prompting him to retaliate.
