Body of NAVSOG man reportedly killed in training accident found


The Navy has recovered the remains of a member of its special forces unit who reportedly died while training off Sangley Point in Cavite City.
 
According to the Cavite provincial police, the remains of Ensign Jan Clet Labalan of the Navy Special Operations Group (NAVSOG) were found three nautical miles from Sangley on Friday afternoon.
 
Labalan reportedly got caught in a fishing net during underwater demolition training for the Navy special forces unit on Wednesday.
 
The body was recovered by NAVSOG personnel.
 
Cavite police have already tapped the Philippine National Police Scene of Crime Operations "for the conduct of autopsy to determine the real cause of death of said person." — JDS, GMA News
