Light plane crashes in Pangasinan rice field


Authorities are investigating a light plane that crashed in Barangay Cabilaoan in Laoac town in Pangasinan over the weekend.

The incident involving a single-engine Cessna C-172 plane occurred at about 9 a.m., according to a report by GMA Dagupan.



"Tuloy-tuloy yung andar, tapos umandar uli. Madali lang yung andar tapos namatay, dumiretso siya riyan tapos dumausdos tapos dito bumagsak, tapos bumaligtad," a barangay tanod said.

No one was reported injured in the crash.

The crewmembers of the plane said they tried to look for a place to land but the houses nearby were very close to each other and had to land in a rice field

The crewmembers were identified as flight instructor Capt. Lance Nathan Concepcion and student Julian Philip Macapagal.
