Women picket Camarines Norte capitol to demand Gov. Tallado’s ouster
Some 3,000 women picketed the provincial capitol of Camarines Norte in Daet on Monday to demand the ouster of Governor Edgardo Tallado, who last month figured in a scandal over an alleged extramarital affair.
The women started their picket Monday morning and demanded Tallado step down, GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuno reported.
Photos taken by Bacuno and tweeted by GMA News indicated up to 3,000 women took part in the protest.

In the photos, the women brought placards that called for Tallado's resignation.
During the rally, roads leading to the capitol were closed.
Bacuno said Tallado had no comment on the matter as of 6 p.m.
An updated dzBB report on Tuesday said the capitol's personnel set up a sound system to drown out the chants of the protesters.
The capitol's personnel had prevented the women from getting into the capitol grounds.
Last October, calls mounted for Tallado's resignation following the scandal GMA News' Ian Cruz had reported on GMA News TV's State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.
Earlier, Tallado apologized for the scandal but threatened to go after those spreading photos of him with another woman.
The scandal surfaced after Tallado's wife Josie disappeared earlier this month but surfaced after nearly a week, and claimed the problem stemmed from the alleged affair.
On the other hand, a death threat signed "Gov" was found in the house of Mrs. Tallado's aide Darlene Francisco.
The report said Mrs. Tallado was prepared to reconcile with the governor, for the sake of their children and grandchildren.
But she said the governor had to show remorse and promise not to do it again.
For its part, the Civil Service Commission said Tallado could face a suspension of six months to one year if Mrs. Tallado filed a formal complaint against him. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
