Mechanic in Bicol converts old tires into Christmas parol

Even an old tire can be recycled and used to make a unique parol (Christmas lantern).

This was just what a mechanic in Naga City did - combining it with rope lights, an outdoor Christmas centerpiece and spray paint, GMA Bicol's Avril Daja reported.

But the mechanic advised that the old tire be cleaned thoroughly before it is painted.

The result is a beautiful yet inexpensive Christmas decoration, the report said.
