Albay cops rescue minor, arrest owner in bar raid
Police in Albay province rescued last weekend a minor made to work as a guest relations officer in a bar in Tabaco City in Albay province.
The police also arrested the manager of the bar during the raid, GMA Bicol's Maila Aycocho reported on Tuesday.
But manager Evelyn Rios, 37, said she was not aware the girl is a minor. Rios now faces charges of human trafficking.
Investigation showed police received information that the 15-year-old minor is from Davao and was taken to the bar to work as a GRO.
Acting on the tip, police raided the bar last Nov. 21 and rescued the girl, who is now with the Tabaco City social welfare and development office. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
