Cebu SWAT member caught with colleague’s wife in motel
A member of the Cebu police's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team was arrested after he was caught checking into a motel with the wife of a fellow policeman.
The arrest took place Wednesday at a motel in Mandaue City, after the woman's husband tracked the two and informed the police, GMA Cebu's Alan Domingo reported.
Police arrested SWAT member PO3 Oliver Soqueb, who was also found to have used his motorcycle in fetching the woman, the report said.
"Itinawag lang ito sa ating headquarters na meron daw isang pulis sa labas ng Jade Court na kailangan ng police assistance," said Mandaue City Police Office Station 1 desk officer PO1 Mhar Villamonte.
But Soqueb and the woman denied they were doing something immoral at the motel, saying they were there to conduct a business transaction.
Soqueb said he had no intimate relation with his colleague's wife.
"Meron kaming business at nag-separate kami sa aming parte," the wife added. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
