Davao cops seize toy guns in city’s Chinatown

Police in Davao City on Monday seized several toy guns being sold along Ramon Magsaysay Avenue in the city's Chinatown area.

The confiscation stemmed from complaints that the toy guns looked too much like the real thing and could be used in real crimes, GMA Davao reported.

So pag-ikot namin nakita namin na maraming baril na binebenta sa sidewalk at sa business establishment," said Superintendent Royina Garma, head of the Sta. Ana district police.

Following the raid, the city police said they are ready to seize toy guns being sold.

The police also said they will pursue charges against four establishments from where the toy guns were seized. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
