BFP reminds public vs. electrical overload during holidays

The Bureau of Fire Protection over the weekend reminded the public against overloading their houses' electrical systems by plugging in too many appliances during the holidays.

In Davao City, an electrical overload was blamed for a fire that razed four houses in Barangay Dumanlas in the city's Buhangin district Thursday, GMA Davao reported.

Residents said the fire started at the second floor of the house of Mely Nones, and spread quickly as the other houses were made of light materials.

Firefighters needed two hours to put out the fire.

— Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
