Davao City ice plant cordoned off over suspected ammonia leak

An ice plant in Davao City was cordoned off due to suspected ammonia seeping from it, the city government said Saturday afternoon.

 

In a post on its Facebook account, the city government said the plant where the reported "hazardous material exposure" occurred is in the city's Puan area.

 

The city government said a Bureau of Fire Protection hazardous material (Hazmat) team was proceeding to the area.

 

In the meantime, it said the Philippine National Police cordoned off the area. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
