Kwitis-triggered fire razes house in Naga City, CamSur

A kwitis (baby rocket) was believed to have triggered a fire that razed a hut atop a house in Barangay Concepcion Pequena in Naga City in Bicol Sunday night.

Residents said they heard an explosion at about 10 p.m. before the fire broke out, GMA Bicol reported Monday.

No one was initially reported injured in the fire. The Bureau of Fire Protection said the firecracker may have landed on the hut's roof and sparked the fire.

It said this was the first firecracker-triggered fire in Naga City. — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
