There were also landslides reported in El Rio, Apga, Tabon-tabon in Sibagat, Agusan del Sur .

The landslide in Purok Dos, Bgy. Mahiyahay blocked the road causing inconvenience to motorists.

At least 20 houses were destroyed in Sibagat after Wawa River overflowed. The television report said the residents have already been evacuated before the water rose.

Local government authorities of Surigao City and Butuan City implemented forced evacuation after their areas were inundated with floods.

Several areas in Surigao City and Butuan City experienced brownouts due to toppled electric posts and trees.

Floods also forced the residents of Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Liloan, Ormoc City to evacuate to their barangay hall.

Residents in Catbalogan City, Samar and Southern Cebu were also affected by floods brought by heavy rains.

In an interview with Balitanghali, Surigao del Sur Governor Johnny Pimentel said at least 90 barangays in the province was affected by floodings due to three days of continuous rains.

He said the province sustained damages in infrastructure but, fortunately, none was reported dead.

“Not passable yung ibang roads because of floods and landslides pero ngayon ngayon medyo gumanda na ang panahon kaya nagstart na kami sa clearing operations. Nagsa-subside na yung baha. We have sustained damages, zero casualties,” he said.

He said some 13,000 individuals or 3,700 families are now in evacuation center.

“Nabigyan na namin ng food packs pero baka magkulang pa at matagalan yung pagdadala dahil sa nasirang tulay. May alternate route pero iikot pa sa Surigao del Norte,” he said.

Pimentel said he has already informed the Department of Public Works and Highways about the damage bridge. —Amita Legaspi/NB, GMA News
