8-year-old girl found dead, naked in Los Baños

Authorities in Los Baños in Laguna are now tracking down the suspect behind the brutal killing of an eight-year-old girl in the last days of 2014.

 

The girl was found dead and naked in a lot in Los Baños, three days after she went missing on Dec. 27, GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon" reported Friday.

 

Initial investigation showed the girl left their house while her relatives were watching television last Dec. 27.

 

When she failed to return after an hour, her relatives started a search for her.

 

Search parties found the girl's body in a vacant lot three days later. Police are not discounting the possibility she was sexually assaulted before being killed.

 

But police also said they may have a suspect based on witness statements and on items found at the crime scene.

 

Meanwhile, the office of Los Baños Mayor Caesar Perez has offered a P100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
