Burglars break into dental clinic, hardware store in Cebu during New Year weekend
Exploiting the festive mood during the New Year weekend, burglars broke into a dental clinic and hardware store in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu province.
The theft was discovered last Saturday when the owner of the dental clinic saw some of the jalousies in the window had been removed, GMA Cebu's Lou-Anne Mae Rondina reported.
Some dental equipment were stolen, along with even the biscuits in the office.
On the other hand, the dentist notified the owner of an adjacent hardware store of the break-in.
A check of the hardware store showed the burglars made a hole at the rear, and have stolen P35,000 cash and the owner's laptop computer.
Police suspect the burglars could have been from near the area.
— Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
