Pacquiao: Custodios bid P100M to have me killed

Boxing champ turned General Santos City congressional candidate Manny Pacquiao is fuming mad. He claimed he got an intelligence report from the police that the camp of his rival incumbent Rep. Darlene Antonino-Custodio wants to have him killed. GMA News 24 Oras said on Tuesday that Pacquiao faced the media holding a copy of the report, which stated that Custodio’s camp offered P 100 million to have him killed. He said the report was given to him by a certain Pedro Padro, said to be a village intelligence officer of the Philippine National Police’s Maritime office. Pacquiao however said the supposed hired killer is his avid fan and thus could not stomach carrying out the crime. He said the man went to Padro and volunteered the information on the slay plot. He said the report was already in his hands since April 20. Pacquio however said he decided not to bare the report at once because he wanted the elections in the area to be orderly and peaceful. “Ngayon pinalabas ko na. Pinalabas ko dahil binabaligtad nila, tine-threat ko daw siya, sa buhat nila…Yung pamilya Antonino. Magagawa ko ba ‘yon? Grabe naman sila (I decided to come out with the report now because the Antonino family is turning the tables on me. They said I’m the one who has a slay plot against them. You think I can do that?). Meanwhile, Custodio said she felt dismayed upon learning of Pacquiao’s accusation against her family. “Sa tingin ko, kung may pinanghahawakan nga si Manny, sa akin, dapat kasuhan na n’ya kung sinoman ‘yon. If it is my father, kasuhan nila (I think that if Manny has enough evidence to prove his allegation, he should go to court and file a case. If it is my father, then Pacquiao should file charges against him). Police officers in the area however said the report is still unverified and thus remains inconclusive. - GMANews.TV
