Naga City in CamSur rolls back tricycle fares by 50c
Good news for commuters in Naga City in Bicol - tricycle fares have been rolled back 50 centavos effective Jan. 21.
This was after the city council passed an ordinance for a provisionay fare rate, GMA Bicol's Mark Bongat reported Thursday.
In passing the ordinance that brought down the minimum tricycle fare from P8 to P7.50, the city council cited lower prices of fuel.
Students, senior citizens and people with disabilities may avail of a discounted minimum fare of P6.
But while commuters welcomed the move, tricycle drivers said they have problems producing the coins for change.
"Magbigayan na lang siguro," said tricycle driver Gerry Briones. — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
