Magnitude 5.2 quake hits Butuan City
A magnitude-5.2 quake was recorded off Butuan City in Mindanao Saturday morning but no casualty or damage was immediately reported. The United States Geological Service (USGS) said the quake was recorded at 7 a.m. Saturday Manila time, at a depth of 79.1 kilometers. In a report posted on its website (www.usgs.gov), the USGS said the epicenter was 65 km northeast of Hinatuan in Mindanao, or 135 km east of Butuan. Also, it said the epicenter was 180 km southeast of Surigao province, or 900 km southeast of the capital of Manila. No casualty or damage to property was immediately reported. - GMANews.TV
