Money in white envelopes distributed in Iloilo town
White envelopes containing P100 bills and sample ballots made the rounds of a village in Iloilo province a day before Election Day, dzBB radio reported Sunday. The reports said the white envelopes were distributed inside Tabuc-Suba village in Barotac Nuevo town in Iloilo provinces. Each of the envelopes contained a P100 bill and a sample ballot bearing the names of a local reelectionist congressman, along with the congressman's political allies. The report did not name the reelectionist politician. Meanwhile, local election officials in the town said they are still waiting for election materials, including indelible ink, so they can prepare them for Election Day. Barotac Nuevo is a third-class town with a population of 45,804 people in 8,757 households. - GMANews.TV
