Teen raped, impregnated by step dad in Iloilo

A 16-year-old may no longer be able to continue hiding the fact that she was raped by her stepfather in Iloilo, as she is now four months pregnant.

The girl was raped last September when the suspect's wife was not at home, GMA Iloilo's Enrico Surita Jr. reported.

"Hindi... ako nagsumbong kay mama (dahil) natakot (ako)," the girl said.

She said she did not tell anyone about the rape at first – until her relatives noted a bump in her stomach when she visited them for a vacation.

Her aunt said she asked the girl why her stomach was growing. She said that when she asked her if she was pregnant, she said yes.

"Tinanong ko pa kung ilang buwan na siya hindi dinatnan, sinagot niya ako na tatlo. Sabi ko sino yung Tatay at sinagot niya akong si Tito," the aunt said.

An investigation showed the girl's parents had separated and her mother remarried what would become the girl's rapist.

Now, the girl and her relatives are seeking justice for what happened. "Mabigyan siya ng hustisya," said her aunt. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
