Obet Pagdanganan's bro nabbed for gunban violation
Authorities have arrested the brother of Bulacan gubernatorial bet Roberto "Obet" Pagdanganan for allegedly violating the gunban prohibitions of the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Law enforcers nabbed Pagdanganan's brother Hermenigildo, three security escorts and two companions at a checkpoint in Calumpit town in Bulacan. Seized were a baby armalite, two shotguns, three .45-cal. pistols and one 9-mm. handgun. Senior Superintendent Asher Dolina, Bulacan police chief, said Hermenigildo's group were unable to present Comelec permits for their firearms. For his part, Hermenigildo said he and his colleagues were on their way to check reports of harassment in Iba village. Obet, who had previously served as Bulacan governor, told Dolina that he was the one who asked Henrygildo to go to the village. He claimed to have received reports that "black propaganda" was spreading in that area that he had allegedly backed out of the poll race. - GMANews.TV
