Aurora media riled by 'text threats'

Not even media is exempt from potential violence on election day, as media practitioners in the Central Luzon province of Aurora received death threats through text messages. The Catholic Media Network (CMN) radio reported Monday that several local media practitioners trooped to the local police station to complain about the "text threats" they received through their mobile phones. It did not specify the sources or contents of the messages but said several media representatives, including Aurora-based "Weekly Time Record" editor-publisher Wilfredo Chua, were outraged over receiving the threats. The media representatives asked provincial police director Senior Superintendent Teodoro Saclolo to help them. -GMANews.TV
