Motorcycle crashes into prayer vigil in Bicol, 4 hurt

Four people were injured after a motorcycle driven by a soldier crashed into people attending a prayer vigil in Ocampo town in Camarines Sur Monday night.

 

The incident occurred at Barangay San Francisco in Ocampo town, GMA Bicol's Kaye Botastas and Mark Bongat reported Wednesday.

 

"Nahagip po yung mga tao rito, pati nga yung paa ko," said witness Rowell Cortez.

 

Injured were three employees of the town government identified as Jesus Margate Jr., Elsie Tiaba and Maria Theresa Caletisin.

 

Also injured was motorcycle rider Sgt. Rolando Credo of the Army's 22nd Infantry Battalion.

 

"Self-accident lang po ang nangyari kasi sabi sa report, mabilis ang pagpapatakbo sa motorsiklo," Ocampo police spokesman PO3 Allan Mediario said. — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
