NGCP: 12-hour power interruption Sunday in Iligan City

Iligan City in Lanao del Norte may experience a 12-hour power interruption on Sunday, Feb. 8, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said.

The NGCP said the scheduled outage will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and may affect areas serviced by Iligan Light and Power Inc.

NGCP said this is to facilitate the preventive maintenance of the 20-megavolt power transformer at Iligan (Overton) substation.

Also, the NGCP said parts of ILPI-serviced areas may experience power interruption from 6 to 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 to 6 p.m. for load transfer in preparation for the upgrading and commissioning of a project at Agus 6 Substation. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
