Pagdanganan to block Bulacan governor-elect's proclamation
Bulacan gubernatorial candidate Roberto "Obet" Pagdangan is set to file an election protest at the Commission on Elections to block the proclamation of governor-elect Jon-Jon Mendoza, radio dzBB reported on Wednesday. The report said Pagdanganan announced his intention to file a "petition to suspend proclamation" during a press conference, Wednesday. The former agrarian reform secretary alleged that Mendoza's camp cheated in the elections through "vote shaving". Pagdanganan, in an interview, Wednesday, with dzBB also said that some 600,000 Bulakeños failed to vote in the May 14 polls. Meanwhile, Mendoza, in a separate interview with dzBB the same day, denied Pagdanganan's allegations. "Bagong bago po tayo, paano natin magagawa yan.? Wala akong kakayahan para gawin ang bagay na 'yan. (I am new in politics, how can I do that? I am not capable of cheating)." He said Pagdanganan is behind him by 19,998 votes. - GMANews.TV
