Bones of possible child porn victim found in Surigao City septic tank

National Bureau of Investigation agents have exhumed the bones of a possible victim of an Australian national's alleged child pornography operation in Surigao City.

Agents from the NBI Forensic Division recovered the bones in a septic tank in an apartment rented by the suspect, GMA News' "Unang Balita" reported Thursday.

The NBI is not discounting the possibility the remains may be those of an 11-year-old girl from Cagayan de Oro City who was one of the victims of child pornography.

GMA News stringer Natz Corbeta reported the apartment owned by one Rey Lim was inside Villa Corito subdivision in Surigao City, and that it was rented by Peter Scully.

An initial investigation showed the child was killed before being thrown into the septic tank.

Scully was arrested in Bukidnon last weekend. He has been brought to Metro Manila for further investigation.

The "Unang Balita" report added Scully's Filipina live-in partner is also in custody.

The exhumed bones are to be brought to Metro Manila for forensic examination.

Meanwhile, Corbeta reported investigation showed Scully and his live-in partner would adopt minor girls from the slums of Cagayan de Oro City, promising them a better life.

But he would have the children strip and perform obscene acts online. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
