Cavite Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla discharged from hospital

Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla, who was brought to the hospital on Feb. 28 for a gunshot wound, has been released from the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntiunlupa City.

Atty. Raymon Fortun, speaking for the Revilla family, said in a radio dzBB report Sunday night that Revilla has been sent home.

The vice governor will be staying with his mother, Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla. His father, Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., is at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center because of graft cases related to the Priority Development Assistance Fund scam.

Recovery from the gunshot wound, which the family says is from an accident while the vice governor was cleaning his gun, is expected to take from three weeks to a month. — JDS, GMA News
