LOOK: Dry spell threatens Bohol dam

The hot weather in recent weeks is threatening another dam in Central Visayas region – this time in Bohol province.

Photos tweeted by GMA News stringer Leo Udtohan showed the water level at Malinao Dam in Pilar town had gone down.

Water levels there "lowered to a critical level due to dry season," Udtohan reported.

Another photo showed cracks on the ground due to the hot weather.

Farmers in Pilar and parts of Bohol have been suffering, another post on Udtohan's Twitter account said.

Earlier, GMA Cebu noted the Buhisan Dam in Cebu also had its water level reaching critical levels due to the dry spell.
