Sun-Star: Authorities suspect woman planted bomb in bus

A woman could have "planted" the bomb that exploded inside a Weena Bus terminal that killed three persons and wounded at least 39 others in Cotabato City last May 17. Sun-Star Davao (www.sunstar.com.ph) reported Sunday afternoon that eyewitnesses have surfaced to claim that a woman left the bag containing the explosives inside the terminal in Matalam, North Cotabato. Investigators believe recent bombings were handiwork of fresh Jema’ah Islamiyah women recruits. The Sun-Star report said the witnesses claimed the woman, who left behind the bag containing the bomb in an eatery inside the terminal, even asked permission to leave the bag behind. Also, the witnesses described the woman as about 5'2" tall with fair complexion and long hair. She was with a male companion who was around 5'3" tall, with dark complexion and hairy arms. Both are estimated to be between 19 to 27 years old. - GMANews.TV
