Sun.Star: Missing N. Cotabato poll exec spotted in Davao City

THE provincial election supervisor of North Cotabato who was reported missing by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) few weeks ago was reportedly seen inside a shopping mall in Davao City Sunday. Comelec lawyer Yogie Martirizar was seen inside a beauty parlor of a big shopping mall in the city. Some officials from North Cotabato even chanced upon her inside the mall. An elected official who requested anonymity said he even asked Martirizar about the controversy involving her. The politician did not give enough details though of their conversation. "But it seems she is not in hiding as what the Comelec officials from Manila wanted to portray. Palabas lang pala yata ng (Its seems like a mere show by) Comelec na missing at may hold departure order siya," said the politician. Martirizar resurfaced after a teacher who squealed about the alleged electoral fraud in Maguindanao was shot dead by gunmen. Musa Dimasidsing, Maguindanao schools district supervisor, was shot dead in Pikit, Cotabato, Saturday night, apparently to forever silence him after he exposed alleged election irregularities in Pagalungan, Maguindanao. - Sun.Star
