Thieves take P75k from American’s house in Pangasinan

Thieves broke into an American national's two-story house in Binalonan town in Pangasinan early Monday, taking some P75,000 in valuables.

Police said the thieves broke into the house of Gerald and Leah Casey in Barangay Tabuyoc, GMA Dagupan reported Tuesday.

"Around 1 to 2 a.m., natutulog po sila, doon sa bahay. Hindi nila naramdaman noong pumasok yung magnanakaw," said Inspector Rommel Sembrano of the Binalonan police.

An initial investigation showed the burglars entered the house using the sliding glass window, then made their way to the couple's room.

They took various gadgets and international credit cards amounting to P75,000.

Relatives of the victims noticed motorcycle-riding men appearing to make several passes around the victims' house since they saw boxes from abroad being brought there.

Police continue to look for leads on the thieves.

"Either malapit lang po yung suspek dahil nakikita nila yung bahay na ongoing ang construction," said Sembrano.  —Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
