NGCP: 10-hr power interruption in parts of Pangasinan Wednesday


Parts of Pangasinan will experience a power interruption lasting up to 10 hours on Wednesday, April 22, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said Monday.
 
In an advisory, the NGCP said the interruption will begin at 7 a.m., and will last until 5 p.m.
 
Areas affected include those serviced by Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Cenpelco) and Pangasinan III Electric Cooperative Inc. (Panelco III), including:
 
- Rosales
- Villasis
- Sto. Tomas
- Alcala
- Bautista
- Bayambang
- Asingan
- Sta. Maria
- Balungao
- Tayug
- Natividad
- San Nicolas
- San Quintin
- Umingan
- Urdaneta City
- San Manuel
- Binalonan
- Pozzorubio
- Laoac
- Mapandan
- Mangaldan
- parts of Sison and Basista
 
Meanwhile, areas serviced by the Dagupan Electric Corp. (Decorp)'s San Jacinto substation will also experience a power interruption from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., and from 4 to 5 p.m.
 
Affected areas may include San Jacinto, Manaoag and parts of San Fabian, Pangasinan.
 
This Decorp service interruption is due to the annual preventive maintenance and testing of the 100-megavolt power transformer at the San Manuel substation, the testing of metering equipment at the Conserbest Ice Plant, and line maintenance activities. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
