NGCP: Power interruption in Camiguin, parts of CDO, Misamis

(Updated 11: 18 a.m.) An emergency shutdown of a power line may have caused a power interruption in Camiguin and parts of Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental early Saturday.

The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said the emergency  power interruption affected CEPALCO, CAMELCO and MORESCO-2.

It said this was due to an emergency shutdown of Jasaan-Kinoguitan 69-kilovolt line from 2:16 to 2:55 a.m.

Initially, the NGCP said the shutdown was from 2 to 3 p.m.

Areas affected include parts of Cagayan de Oro City, Camiguin and Jasaan to Kinoguitan towns of Misamis Oriental.

The shutdown was to facilitate emergency refilling of SF6 gas of Circuit Breaker at Jasaan Substation. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
