Van sideswipes tricycle, then falls into ravine in Cebu; 4 hurt

At least four people were injured after a van sideswiped a habal-habal (extended motorcycle), went out of control, and fell into a ravine in Cebu province on Wednesday afternoon.

The van driver was among the injured and allegedly tried to flee after hitting the habal-habal in Barangay Babag, GMA Cebu's Vic Serna reported Thursday.

Injured were the habal-habal's driver and two passengers.

Other habal-habal drivers who saw what happened pursued the van, which did not stop, until it hit an acacia tree and fell into a ravine.

The van driver, initially identified as Danilo Jorge Yballe, 64, was rushed to a hospital after he complained of pain in his body.

"Mananagot talaga ang driver ng van," said Tumulak. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
