Quake hits St. Bernard in Leyte

A mild quake on Sunday night hit St. Bernard town in Leyte, the site of last year's deadly mudslide that killed more than a thousand residents and smothered Guinsaugon village. However, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said no damage or casualty was recorded in the quake, which was recorded at 10:52 p.m. Sunday. In a report on its website Monday morning, Phivolcs said the quake was shallow and traced to the Philippine Fault Zone's Leyte segment.
