Isabela province implements liquor ban to ensure residents prepare for typhoon

Authorities in Isabela province implemented a liquor ban on Friday in anticipation of the threat from Typhoon Dodong.

The ban aims to make sure the province's residents prepare for the typhoon, radio dzBB's James Agustin reported.

Governor Faustino Dy also cited PAGASA's inclusion of Isabela in the list of provinces under Storm Signal No. 1.

Last month, Dy also implemented a liquor ban in anticipation of Tropical Cyclone Chedeng.
At the time, the governor stressed the need for all residents to be alert and focused to respond to the storm. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
