NGCP: Up to 9-hour power interruption in Pagadian City, Lanao del Norte on May 20

Parts of Pagadian City and of Lanao del Norte may experience a power interruption lasting up to nine hours on Wednesday, May 20, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said.

 

The NGCP said late Sunday the interruption will affect areas serviced by parts of ZAMSURECO-1 and LANECO on May 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Among the areas in Lanao del Norte that may be affected are Kapatagan and Tubod, it said.

 

It said this aims to facilitate the annual preventive maintenance of the 100-megavolt Power Transformer 1 at Aurora substation and repair or replacement of the flashover Disconnect Switch post insulators.

 

"This requires shutdown of Aurora-Kapatagan 69-kilovolt line (for LANECO) and Aurora-Pagadian-San Miguel 69-kilovolt line (for ZAMSURECO-1)," it said. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
