Canopy in Iloilo mall collapses amid bad weather; 2 reported hurt


At least two people were reported injured after a part of a canopy in a shopping mall in Iloilo City collapsed amid bad weather conditions last Sunday.
 
The incident occurred at Atria Ayala owned by Ayala Land, RGMA Iloilo's Jon Mandario reported Tuesday.
 
A video posted on the Facebook account of Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog showed the affected area cordoned off after the incident.

 

Portion of canopy in Atria Ayala collapsed. The Mayor has ordered the immediate closure of the entire complex until they get clearance from the structural engineer of the City engineer's office.
