Comelec to bring mall-based satellite registration booths to provinces
The Commission on Elections will expand its mall-based satellite voter registration and validation program to Laguna, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite and Nueva Ecija.
This, after the Comelec and Walter Mart signed a Memorandum of Agreement to bring the services to Walter Mart community malls in those provinces.
“We want to bring the success of mall registration in Metro Manila to the provinces and partnering with Walter Mart provides us that opportunity as their malls are located in unique places not reached by the larger chains of malls,” said Comelec Chairman Jose Andres Bautista said.
The scheduled satellite registration booths at the following Walter Mart malls:
- Makiling, Laguna (July 15)
- Calamba, Laguna (July 17)
- Tanauan, Batangas (July 17)
- San Fernando, Pampanga (July 17 and 18)
