25 hurt as bus falls into ravine in Quezon

At least 25 people were injured after a bus fell into a ravine in San Narciso town in Quezon province, before dawn Monday.

 

Police said the BALGCO Transport bus figured in the incident in Barangay Abuyon, GMA News correspondent Peewee Bacuño reported Tuesday morning.

 

Photos tweeted by Bacuño early Tuesday showed the damage to the bus.

Initial investigation showed that the bus with body number 55245 was heading for San Andres town in Quezon from Alabang, Muntinlupa City when it fell into the ravine and rolled thrice.

 

The police said they are not discounting the possibility that the driver was sleepy.

 

Police also noted that the area is accident-prone.

 

The passengers were rushed to hospitals in the area. The driver was said to be in critical condition. —Joel Locsin/ALG, GMA News
