2 more minor quakes hit Davao del Norte town

Two more earthquakes were recorded in Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte, before dawn Monday.

 

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology's (PHIVOLCS) bulletin, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck 24 kilometers northwest of Santo Tomas town at 2:29 a.m.

 

The quake was followed by another minor tremor, measuring magnitude-3.4. It was traced 31 kilometers northwest of Santo Tomas.

 

Five minor earthquakes have been previously recorded from almost the same spot in Santo Tomas town.

 

The first quake was measured at magnitude-4.6. It was felt at Intensity 4 in Santo Tomas and Intensity 3 in Davao City. —ALG, GMA News
