Dengue cases up by 50 percent in Romblon

The number of dengue cases in Romblon went up by 50 percent this 2015, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) said, according to a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday.

The PHO said 127 cases have been recorded since the start of the year, and most of the cases were identified in July, when the wet season started.

The municipalities of San Agustin, Odiongan, and Looc are being monitored for the dengue cases.

The administration of Romblon State University Main Campus has conducted a clean-up drive to rid the canals of dengue-carrying mosquitoes.
