Bus drives off Zamboanga City cliff, 2 passengers killed

Some 2 passengers were killed, with 14 other passengers injured, after a Rural Transit bus drove off a cliff in Barangay Pasobolong, Zamboanga City early Sunday morning, GMA 7 news program “24 Oras Weekend” reported.



The bus also crashed into a motrocycle and two houses.

The bus driver, meanwhile, admitted that he had fallen asleep. The bus was on an eight-hour trip from Pagadian City to Zamboanga City.

Meanwhile, police investigator PO1 Alvin Munsing said the driver could be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide, multiple physical injuries, and damage to property. — DVM, GMA News
