Baby girl abandoned inside tricycle near Laoag City Hall

A baby girl was found abandoned inside a parked tricycle in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte recently, GMA News' "24 Oras" reported on Tuesday.

According to the driver, he parked his tricycle near the city hall and went to the Commission on Elections office.

He then found the baby, estimated to be about a month old, in the sidecar of the tricycle.

The baby was brought to the Laiag City General Hospital for examination. It is now under the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Authorities are looking at CCTV footage to determine who left the child.

The driver said he planned to adopt the baby if he would be allowed to do so. —NB, GMA News
